[Astral rarely sleeps, it's just a fact of his life. It's not that he stays up all night on purpose, he just has awful insomnia and it keeps him up for days on end. Sometimes he's just surprised when he comes home with Yuma and even though he's a little exhausted from their adventures, he still can't fall asleep. Oh well, it's not exactly harming him, and he's able to get all his homework and some extra studying done in the meantime. It also makes sharing a living space with Yuma easier, because this way Yuma can sleep in the attic in his hammock and won't have to worry about Astral being down the rope in his bed, and visa-versa. It's kind of a weird foster situation.]

[He doesn't remember much of his birth family, and all his immediate memories are from when he was put into the Tsukumo's care. It took a while to explain to Yuma why he didn't want to be referred to as a girl, and to get him to understand, but he eventually came around and it's been much more comfortable since. The same goes with their relationship that Astral doesn't quite have a word for; he takes care of Yuma, sets him bedtimes and study-times, gets him up in the morning and to school on time, helps him make even small decisions, and overall tries to guide him on his blazing trail through life. Yeah, they're only in middle school (Astral's a grade higher, though), but it feels as if this is going to last a long time.]

[They're sitting in the attic that has become Yuma's main room, with Astral watching TV and Yuma fiddling with his deck. Homework was all done for him, and since he worked extra hard, Astral allowed extra time for Yuma to focus on his dueling. It's pretty much the best way to motivate him, and it's both charming and slightly inconvenient when Yuma wants to go out and duel. But for now, it's peaceful with some idle chatting. An alarm on Astral's cellphone goes off, and he calmly turns it off and gets up, ready to gather up Yuma's pjs to give to him to change into. It's part of their routine, and Astral takes care of all of it.]

Yuma, it's your bedtime.

[He leaves little to no room for back-talk with the firm tone of voice. Even if he rarely gets any sleep, that's no excuse for Yuma not to.]
