[John doesn't want to open his eyes. His head hurts, and he's got a sense of general malaise that he knows after two years of college means hangover. Which means it's probably a Saturday, knowing himself, so he doesn't even have to get out of bed, dammit, he's just going to stay here. The air smells strongly of apple juice and socks, which means he's in his dorm room, no reason to worry. He's just going to snuggle into the lovely warm body next to him and--]

[He blearily opens his eyes, wondering if Dave ended up in the wrong bed again. His best bro is great, but he really has to stop getting so drunk he can't get into the top bunk. Except that, well. It isn't Dave. The body under his arm isn't naked because it's stripped down to it's boxers, it's naked because John apparently brought a lovely troll lady home last night.]

[Abrupt awareness of the situation has him grabbing for his glasses even as he realizes that, okay, yeah, he's naked too. All the sudden movement makes his stomach lurch uncomfortably, but he can deal with that later, naked girl. She's lying on her side away from him but it only takes a second of effort to identify her horns now that he can see more than an inch in front of his face. It knocks the breath right out of him and he just stares, taking in the way her wilder-than-usual hair flows over her shoulders and what little bit of her back he can see over the blankets. God, she's as beautiful as he'd expected.]

[So, maybe we should back up a little here. Vriska is a friend John made in his first semester of freshman year, when they'd taken the same intro to film studies class. They'd hit it off immediately, and they have the sort of friendship that occasionally makes Dave jealous. They go on adventures on a weekly basis, he held her and told her she was a good person after her life had erupted into drama last year, and she's taken to taking a few of his low level major classes as electives so he could have a study buddy. And John is smitten, but also a little bit of a coward, so he hasn't said a word about it to her.]

[Except that something happened between them last night, and he can't remember it. God, if this turns out to be a one night stand or something, he is going to kill his blackout self, because you do not waste your chance with Vriska Serket and then not even remember the sex.
