[Wally's parents are out of town for the weekend celebrating their 20th anniversary, which means the entire house to himself and his favorite person in the whole world. They've been best friends since John moved to Central City right before their freshman year of high school, though there was a lot of teenage angst and drama before they actually got together their junior year, just in time for prom. Not that they went. The theme was starlight or "under the stars" or something, so Wally decided it'd be better and more romantic if they had their own prom actually under the stars. They got all dressed up in their tuxes and drove up to one of the best parks to view the stars from, and it was pretty damn magical. The evening ended with dumb movies at Wally's house and a lot of making out and heavy petting, but even before making out and touching each other under blankets were involved, stupid movies and popcorn have always been a thing when John comes over.

It's no different this weekend other than the obvious exception of his parents being gone, which makes it the first time they've really had this kind of privacy without worrying about one of their parents coming home early and walking in on them. It'd be less horrifying now that their parents know about their relationship, but still pretty horrifying because being half naked on top of his boyfriend and going down on him on the couch in the living room is not something he wants his parents to witness. He'd rather they not know what he does with John in private. Ever.

He's ridiculously glad to be able to wake up with John curled up in his arms, both of them naked, John's hair still fresh from the shower they took last night. Wally kisses the top of John's head, smiling into his hair. Just the scent of it is kind of making him hard as everything from last night plays back in his head like an amateur porno, and he shifts, his dick rubbing against John's as he scoots down.

Oh, fuck it, he's going to have to wake John up for this.

He nuzzles his face into the crook of John's neck, pressing light kisses against his boyfriend's skin, voice low even though there's no one else in the house to hear him.]

[It's been a while. At least four years, maybe more. Wally's lost track, honestly, but Dave probably knows the exact number to the second. He was always strangely attuned to the flow of time, unlike Wally who's always felt weirdly disconnected from it. Time relativity can really be a bitch sometimes, especially when you're a speedster. Just standing in line for five minutes can be agonizing sometimes, and then there are other times when time literally flies by and suddenly he's late to something because he thought he had more time than he actually did. He's never been very good at gauging these things.

Anyway, point is it's been a while. But he already said that. (Thought it? Whatever.) Basically, things didn't work out between him and Dave. Dave got famous, and Wally had his career as a hero, still does, along with his scientific career, and they just kind of... drifted apart. No hard feelings, really, their lives were just taking two different directions so they went their separate ways, though really Wally still kind of thinks of it as more of an extended open hiatus than a real break up. Both of them agreed it wasn't really working at that point in time, but maybe that was all they really needed: time. Time to see other people, get their lives in order, that kind of thing.

They'd started dating during their senior year of high school, which, in retrospect, was probably really horrible timing. Wally was definitely going to college—there's no way he wasn't—but Dave not so much. College just wasn't his style. Of course, being a speedster made the whole long distance thing not a huge problem, but once Wally hit junior year, it became a lot harder to find the time to visit on the weekends, and suddenly it was just holidays, and as visits became fewer and more far between, Wally already starting to pursue his scientific career and Dave at the height of his fame, they decided maybe it'd be better to just stop seeing each other for a while.

Four or so years later, and it's Wally's birthday, his 25th, and he honestly has no idea what he wants to do. Parties got pretty obsolete after 21, though the team will probably want to do something at some point. He's just not sure what to do on his actual birthday. He usually hangs out with Dick, but he's abroad with Haly's Circus for a while, since he apparently inherited it from Mr. Haly after he died. So Wally's short a best friend and bored out of his mind (he preemptively took the day off thinking people would actually be available) and Marvin has a double shift and it's his birthday and all he's doing is mindlessly watching old reruns of Star Trek.

Wally honestly hadn't expected this much time to pass, but he thinks maybe it's been long enough now. He actually still has Dave's contact info, and they talk from time to time when neither of them is busy with life, so he pulls out his phone and texts Dave while he zetas to Texas.]
